Contract Health Services has moved.  We are now located in the Behavioral Health east wing.  Patients are unable to come directly into our new offices, but we are still accessible by request.  Stop in the new CHS front office, located in the front reception area to make that request or drop off any received bills.

                                                                                    If you have received an outstanding bill, please bring it to our attention as soon as you received it in the mail.  To avoid collection notices we must be aware of these charges for them to be paid.  Also when visiting an outside provider be sure they know to bill NMPH for payment.  There has been collection notices turned into CHS, where outside providers were unaware to bill NMPH.  As a patient it is your responsibility that these facilities know to bill NMPH or they do go to collections in your name.  These can be reversed to pay if proper action is taken by the patient.  NMPH will go back to pay collections for any health cost; interests,  court fees and/or attorney fees will be the patient’s responsibility if your denial was due to patient’s failure to follow CHS guidelines.

If you are being referred to one of these outside facilities, or had an ER visit and was referred by another provider, again be sure a NMPH provider has approved you before visiting that outside provider.  Once CHS has received a referral we verify patient CHS eligibility, yearly updated NMPH file, alternate resource referral and then issue purchase orders or denials.   Please understand if you received a referral from a NMPH provider, the nurse will schedule and notify you of your appointment, but it is your responsibility to know if you are CHS eligible or not.  If you are direct care only, you are then self pay, and responsible for all payments.

Finally, if you have been referred to apply for alternate resource (ID Medicaid) please do so or bring in income verification as soon as possible.  If you have an outstanding referral you will be changed to direct care only and responsible for payment.
